« La Capricieuse is a really clean camping, the accomodations look quite new, and the whole area looks fantastic. The location is perfect, and the team who works there is great. The swimming pool is amazing for kids and also adults. And the animation for childeren is also great. We had a really good stay, and definitley want to come back once. »

« Fantastic staff and really good food and great accommodation only thing that let it down was the night entertainment. It was very loud and went on very late. We heard it clearly all night from our cabin and struggled to sleep sometimes due to volume of it. But other than that cant fault anything else. »

« I want to begin this by saying we absolutely LOVED our stay at Camping La Capricieuse this summer! We came by ferry from the UK, docking in Ouistreham, making a very short car journey to the site. We arrived on site an hour before check in, hoping to make use of the bar whilst we waited, but we're delighted to find our accommodation was ready and waiting! We booked a 2 bedroom premium cottage and wow! It was so spotlessly clean! Our pitch was smaller than some others on the site (I think all of the pitches are quite small, but I think you get this on popular sites that are close to the sea anyway) but I loved how quiet and private our pitch was (though the adjacent cycle path was very occasionally noisy overnight), and I liked that while the car wasn't far away, we were away from the road through the site. WiFi came with our cottage, and we found speeds to be great for our needs. The kitchen was well equipped - even the knives were sharp and usable! One thing to note if you are British is that there is no oven in the units. I was aware this would likely be the case (it's not the French way), but I wanted to highlight this as I saw another reviewer note this negatively! There is, however, a microwave / grill and a high-quality barbecue provided, as well as the hob. The pool areas are a great size and spotlessly clean, with a well equipped changing area and lockers, too. As we were there for so long I did use the on-site laundrette which was really clean, though very busy the second time I went! We did eat at the on-site restaurant. The food was ok, but not fantastic. On the second occasion, our food was served cold, though chips at the bottom were warm, so I think it had been waiting to be served too long. To be fair we didn't ask for this to be rectified due to time constraints. We didn't participate in any of the organised activities, but it was great to see what was happening in the app so we could plan to use the on-site facilities at quieter times. We also loved being walking distance to the beach for evening walks, and being close to the town and a small supermarket was super handy as we only needed to use the car if going for an outing further afield. Overall we loved the site, would recommend and would stay again! We've just marked down one star due to the pitch sizes and the restaurant not being as good as at other sites we've stayed at. »

« Well laid out site, welcoming staff. Convenient for all of our Normandy commemorative tour. Very convenient restaurant, launderette. Clean facilities in en-suite my only comment is in minor maintenance where the wash basin waste water trap was slow at emptying and the extractor fan did not function. »

« We had a lovely holiday. The campsite was excellent and the family enjoyed the pool facilities. it was a sahme that some of the toys in the baby zone were incomplete/broken. »

« The location is wonderful, very close to Luc-sur-Mer and its Sword and Juno D-Day beaches. The chalets are great, and consistent with the other Yelloh! Villages we've visited. Our daughter loved the pool and play areas, and my wife and I enjoyed the restaurant with its excellent food and drink options. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and we are already discussing returning. »
