« This was a reasonable campsite but not as nice as Yelloh Portland. We suspect that there may been a mice infestation in the walls / roof of the cabin. No signs of them inside the cabin. No air conditioning, this would have made the cabin horrible a few weeks earlier in the season »

« It was ok, however the pitch (8) was small and incredibly tight to get in and out off due to the overgrown bamboo, it’s like an extra pitch was slotted in to maximize revenue with no thought to the end users . No seating area either. It was also adjacent to a track outside the campsite which was quite noisy at times . The private facilities were great , exceptionally clean however you have to navigate very large uneven manholes to get into them which was not very safe at all . Sadly some of the neighbors in a cabin nearby decided to talk and shout very loudly into the night (11.30PM ) which was unsettling. Wi-Fi worked brilliantly the first day and then not at all during the second evening! The pool area was lovely and the bar etc really nice . »

« The premium cottage was clean and comfortable although a little functional for a premium option. The living area felt a little cramped with the dining table right in front of the sofa. »

« The staff were very helpful when my car would not start to the point where a private car and jump leads arrived. However, the water tap on emplacement 10 could not be turned on (even by a member of your staff) and remained so when we departed. »

« We have just spent the last week of August at La Capricieuse, Grandparents, Parents a 4.5 year old and a 2.5 year old, what a great time we had! The pools, both indoor and outdoor, splash area outside, slides and splash pool inside for the small ones were superb. The bar restaurant reviews looked good and I can confirm that the food was excellent. The children’s play area for young ones (2-6 years) was enjoy by the grandkids and the area for older children looked good too. Our grandchildren were too young for kids club but the older children looked to be having fun on guided adventures around the site. The accommodation was clean, spacious and well equipped, we had the Ultimate style chalet for 8 people which gave Grandad and Nanna their own separate accommodation, it even had a fridge, a TV and a table. (Take a kettle though) Location; the site has a gate which gives easy access to the beach and front, only a 5 minutes stroll away. A Carrefour City supermarket is also a matter of 5 minutes walk from the entrance as is the Hotel de Ville with yet another great park for the kids. Finally a 20 minutes drive to the car ferry port at Ouistreham makes the place so easy to reach. As we arrived a little late from St Malo we received a phone call from reception explaining how to visit the restaurant to pick up our keys, a very nice touch. All the staff were polite and professional. We will happily return to La Capricieuse. »
